One Loose Screw

You`ll never guess,
What happened today.
It wasn`t supposed,
To be this way.

Things started well,
As they usually do.
It was so small,
Just one phillips screw.

Not really so bad,
When it rattled out.
But dropped in the fan,
And shot about.

Funny that begger,
Would not blow through.
Caught the lift duct,
And started to chew.

The kevlar was strong,
And wouldn`t allow,
It to get out,
At least not now.

Had to work up,
Some additional speed.
Flew through the belt hole,
Not yet done it`s deed.

It wrecked the belt,
And stripped the key.
Then it shot by,
Right under me!

The thrust fan caught it,
But just for a flash.
And fired it forward,
Bounced off the dash!

Then my lexan,
Would not fail.
Round the cab it went,
At the speed of a gale.

It bounced off the roof,
It bounced off the floor,
Then it got wedged,
In the latch of my door.

So now I can`t lift,
Push or get out,
Time to remember,
What this is about.

Should have tightened
That G D screw
Hope this reminds
The rest of you
